Episode 20: Fah Q

Posted by calamityensues

Dude, what time's your party tonight?

9:30 man.

........I'll be there.

Yes folks, there is indeed a party. That party is Dazed and Confused, my personal favorite film of all time. Yes I stand behind the greats, Citizen Kane, Metropolis, Nosferatu! But Dazed and Confused, a simple tale of the last day of school in 1976 hits me right there in my bong hole. Tune in to find out just how much meandering, plot-less character interaction @movieguyjon can handle! Be there, or get THE PADDLE!

Twitter to the right of us, 0:00:00:00 on the DVD player, and Slow Ride playing. Aw yeah.

Oh man, I am so wasted.

Episode 19: Bartleby’s Fried Chicken Wings

Posted by thegreatredhope

Hello, please be seated. I thought we'd open today's post with a psalm that, I believe, really encompasses the feeling of this week's episode: "Watch out, here comes the poop monster!!" (TCC 18:65)

We've graced many a topic here at TCC, but I realized there's something major that we'd never really touched on: Religion. I was shocked to see that the world has yet to hear our informed, well thought-out stance on God and religion in general. What I needed then was a film that would allow us to really dig into the subject matter in a fair, adult way. Thank God for Dogma.

That's right, this week we're back with Kevin Smith's "controversial" 1999 flick Dogma, starring some disgruntled angels and God herself (?). Finally, the paths of Jay and Silent Bob and TCC will meet. The regular gang is all back together after an agonizing number of weeks apart, and we launch back into it full-force!! Feeling a little guilt-ridden? Maybe even a little unholy? Well you should be used to those feelings by now. After all, you listen to this show. God won't know what hit...her?

Remember: If you're following along with a DVD (this being the 2-disc special edition of the movie), start the counter at 00:00:00. Don't worry little sheep, we'll shepherd you into a little countdown. And you'd best pay attention, cause we're your new golden idols now.

Oh, and please take a minute to look over our Twitter literature, located on the top right of this page.
